Excellent client care starts with a strong foundation.
After an early retirement from a management role due to a health battle, I embarked on a new path in private caregiving. It was during this time that I worked with my first Alzheimer's client. I quickly fell in love with memory care and caregiving for seniors. I have personally worked with and spend time with dozens of different types of elderly patients from normal memory issues, to advanced dementia.
My passion for memory care led me to educate myself extensively. I devoured literature on Alzheimer's, dementia, and caregiving, engaging in meaningful conversations with gerontologists and the families I served. I closely observed the work of outstanding Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in memory care facilities and carefully selected caregivers who possessed the qualities I believe are essential for exceptional private care and have amassed an incredible team of amazing caregivers! I place specific caregivers to match personalities and the needs of each individual and their families.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with seniors for more than a decade, with a specialized focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care for over five years. I take pride in my ability to help families build high-quality caregiver teams, manage those teams effectively, and positively impact the lives of my clients.
In the community, I've become known as a local expert in guiding families toward the right care solutions for their loved ones and making those solutions a reality. My expertise spans various aspects of senior care, including memory care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, stroke survivors, Parkinson's disease, early-onset Alzheimer's, and the art of building successful caregiver teams for families in Utah.
Founder, Marcy Olson
Hello, I am Marcy Olson, the founder of Hybrid Senior Care of Utah, and I'm deeply committed to raising the bar in Alzheimer's and dementia care services. Helping families keep their loved ones at home as long as possible and helping them find the right place when and if the time comes.
My dedication to building a personalized caregiving team begins with my personal involvement. I make it a point to visit each client regularly, observing their progress and changes in their condition, and I collaborate closely with their families and care teams, ensuring that we adapt and adjust caregivers as needed to suit their unique situations.
My journey into senior care started from a place of genuine empathy and connection with the elderly. As a child, I spent entire shifts at nursing homes where my mother worked as a nurse, and these early experiences ignited my lifelong commitment to the well-being of seniors.
My best friend today is 93, and this enduring friendship has deepened my understanding of the unique needs and joys of older adults.
